Growing up in Dallas and being around the Cowboys and their winning tradition in the NFL it is a great thing to see the Mav's in the Finals for the first time. They are handling Shack & Wade pretty handily so far. Mike White Oak, Texas |

Hey mike i'm from philly whats your opinion on T.O playing for the cowboys? I'm sure within a year he will be bad mouthing someone on the team and crying like a baby. He does that where ever he go's.I hope Dallas is paying him enough to feed his family. The Eagles 7 million a year and incentives wasn't enough to do that. Wouldn't it be nice if we all had that problem? |

Michael, greetings! Alot of different opinions down here about TO. The "Big Tuna" is one of the better coaches for handling problem children over his years. The city has recieved him pretty well, no question of his talent. He is not making near that kind of money here as I understand, but with his reputation his value has dropped in the league. I think from a talent standpoint he will really help the team, from a team standpoint we will see if he is a team player. Parcells will bench him and not put up with his mouth, I am sure of that. Bledsoe, although in the twilight of his career is still an apt field and team leader. It will be interesting to follow and see how things work out if they do. Mike, They made a heck of a run. Lots of young talent, they could be mighty good next year. Do you think a different center would help them at all? Wonder if Dirk will sign an endorsement deal with an exercise bike manufacturer!

Hi Jeff, A big man in the middle has been a problem for the Mavs as far back as I can remember. It would certainly help, but when you think about it, there just are not alot of dominent true Centers around. I like Diop (sp) he has been in the league about 4 years with little playing time. But I hope they can keep the core together and like you say, and fill that last gap. Shaq has always given the Mavs trouble, it is a mind thing. They started shooting jump shots and got away from their "take it to them" approach they had in game 1&2. Game 3 was a back breaker for the Mavs and seemed to shift the momentum towards the Heat. Mike, Agreed, a dominant center is rare these days. Seems like there use to be one on almost every team 20 or so years ago, Walton, Kareem, Unseld, Malone, Eaton, Parish, just a few who quickly come to mind. Can you imagine Dallas with an athletic center like Hakeem was, or a passing center like Sabonis was, wow they would be awesome. Avery Johnson said it best I think, "We fell in love with the jump shot." Still, you have a competative, exciting team to watch. We up here in Oregon have much worse state of affairs.
